Challenge yourself and time your run, OR, relax and enjoy the park in the autumn!

Events: Virtual 5K Run/Walk, 1/4 Marathon Run & 1/3-Mile Smokey Bear Fun Run (for Kids Ages 2-10)

Date: September 10 - October 10, 2020 Registration: www.runwild.org or www.runsignup.com.

Online registration closes on October 9, 2020. Each participant will receive a one-of-a-kind, non-bacterial, Run Wild Buff with UV Protection. Since Run Wild is a virtual event, please feel free to complete your run/walk anywhere, although we encourage participants to come to the park and enjoy the autumn weather. If you drive into the park, an entrance fee will be required, which can be purchased at: DNR.WI.gov. Mile markers and the start/finish signs will be up. The race course is on park roadways, which will remain open to motor vehicles throughout the duration of the event. Runners are encouraged to run single-file against the flow of traffic and wear highly visible clothing at all times (reflective clothing recommended if running in low-light conditions). Please follow COVID-19 restrictions at the park.

Virtual 5K Run/Walk & 1/4 Marathon Run: $15.00 with no Buff, $25.00 with Buff

1/3-Mile Smokey Bear Fun Run (for Kids Ages 2-10): $8.00 with a free children’s meal coupon from Culver’s to the first 25 registered

Buff Pick-Up: If a runner can’t make it, you can pick up multiple runners’ Buffs at the following two locations (Buffs will not be mailed): Nor Door Sport & Cyclery, 1014 Egg Harbor Rd., Sturgeon Bay, Open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 am-5:00 pm or Bay Shore Outfitters, 59 N. Madison Ave., Sturgeon Bay, Open Daily 9:00 am-5:00 pm.

Donation: All money goes to the Friends of Potawatomi State Park to help fund projects within the park. Check out the new, all-accessible pier across from the warming shelter that your registration fee helped finance. Additional donations can be made to the Door County Community Foundation.
